Over the Hill
Free training led by older people, promoting positive attitudes to ageing.
Over the Hill is an innovative project in which a team of older volunteer s have contributed to the development of training sessions. Older people have:
- Developed training sessions, using their ideas and experiences
- Developed their skills as trainers, providing training to local organisations
In addition to delivering a serious message, the training sessions are lively, interactive and fun!
They are available free to community organisations, arts, health and social care staff.
The group will deliver sessions at your organisation for groups of 8-10 staff and/or volunteer s. Each session last for two and a half hours.
The group has trained staff and volunteer s from Southwark Churches Care, InSpire, Dulwich Helpline, Fusion, Blackfriars Settlement, Southwark Council - Sheltered Housing and Libraries, The Alzheimers Society, The Universal Beneficient Society, Fourth Day and Art in the Park.
