Meet the Board

The Board members are key points of contact at the Forum, and rely on you the members to constantly feed them with information about what Camberwell needs, and how it can get it.

Craig Stansfield

Craig is the SE5 Forum's transport rep and the convenor of the Friends of Camberwell Green.  He is relatively new to Camberwell, having only seen the light and moved South of the River at the beginning of 2011, but now knows that SE5 is the centre of London life, especially since discovering the Blue Elephant Theatre's willingness to read and stage lots of the works of Mervyn Peake and the multiplicity of good restaurants and pubs.  In his day job he works as a transport planner in the City, trying to tame the adverse effects of the car on Londoners' quality of life, health and sanity, and to promote much more walking, cycling and public transport use in its place;  and likes to take his work home with him.

Mark Dodds

Mark is a well-known community figure locally and has been involved with arts programmes and events in Camberwell since setting up business here in 1995. He is one of the founders of SE5 Forum and was chair until January 2008. Mark’s focus is on developing better conditions for stimulating business investment in Camberwell and in breaking down cross borough communication barriers. Mark is well aware of cross border issues. His pub The Sun & Doves is in SE5 on the Southwark-Lambeth boundary and he has long campaigned for coordination between Lambeth and Southwark - one of the great challenges facing Camberwell. He received a Southwark Civic Award in 2008.  Contact mark(at)remove-this.se5forum.org.

Jonathan Clarke

Jonathan has lived consecutivly in Camberwell since 1991, plus a three year spell in the 1980s. He is a computer programmer working for insurance companies in EC3 and runs a website for residential landlords. As editor of the SE5 Forum website he makes sure details sent to editor(at)remove-this.se5forum.org are published.

Barbara Pattinson

Barbara has lived in Camberwell since 1966 and during her career as a nursery teacher set up the nursery classes at Dog Kennel Hill and Oliver Goldsmith’s schools. She was among the first parent governors at Bessemer Grange, her sons’ school. She was part of the committee that steered Camberwell Community Forum to the present SE5 Forum for Camberwell. She has served on the Camberwell Arts Festival board. The Camberwell police station was reopened to the public in 2005 because volunteers like Barbara were trained to man the front desk and she now represents her residents association on the South Camberwell Safer Neighbourhoods Team panel. In The Camberwell Society she served for some years as convenor of the planning subcommittee and now has community liaison responsibilities on the executive committee. .She received a Southwark Civic Award in 2005.  Contact barbara(at)remove-this.se5forum.org.

Adam Woodward

68 years Old – Retired Army Major - Single

I was in the Army for 36 years (1961 – 1997) Serving with The Royal Artillery and the Royal Army Ordnance Corp. During these years I lived and worked in Germany, Malta, Singapore, Hong Kong and the UK filling a variety of jobs. The highlights of my career were serving in Berlin on the day the wall came down in 1989 and my job, controlling a large part of the Berlin Military Budget.

Since leaving the Army in 1997 I have concentrated on building up and managing a small property portfolio and refurbishing run down properties. I moved to Camberwell about 2 years ago.

My interests, apart from all aspects to do with property, include keeping fit, playing tennis, playing bridge and to, hopefully, give something back to society; hence my being willing to slave over a “red hot abacus” and be the Forum’s Treasurer.
