Creative Camberwell
Creative Camberwell, SE5’s arts and culture network, was established in late 2006 during a meeting of around 30 local artists and creative organisations who had an interest in working together to make the most of creative and cultural activity in Camberwell.
The network has since been led by a steering committee consisting of local arts organisations who meet monthly. These organisations are; The Blue Elephant Theatre, Camberwell Arts, Camberwell College of the Arts, Collective Artistes, Cooltan Arts, Creative Routes, Home, Neighbourhood Renewal, Southwark Arts Forum, The South London Gallery and The Synergy Centre.
Since its inception, Creative Camberwell has been working to achieve its mission through a number of key actions. The group commissioned a mapping exercise of creative activity in and around SE5 which helped us to understand the nature of the local creative and cultural industries and what can be done to help maximise their potential.
