Does anyone know the history around the roads near Maude, Graces and Wilson road?

I heard from someone that Maude and Grace were sisters of the person who built the houses on these roads and Wilson was his surname, does anyone know if that's true?

Grace's Road, Dagmar Road and Maude Road were built by a Mr Purkis, on what had once been the playing fields of Wilson's Grammar School. Grace, Dagmar and Maude were the names of three of Mr Purkis's daughters.
