A brand new art gallery on Market Square in Bermondsey opened this week with a wall of fluttering moths mounted on more than 20 Humvee tyre covers, boats turning into buildings and a playful look at what happened when technology got militant and went to war - with us. Secret History is an exhibition that brings together the work of five artists from across the UK, who present a radical break from the dominant themes and aesthetics of the current London art scene, asking:
Is technology really out to get us? Are we all doomed, or is there a more hopeful way to look at the future?
Please come and see.
Secret History at the Market Gallery is open from Friday 25 June to Thursday 1 July and all artists are available for interview on request.
